Key Personnel

GHL Consultants has a highly qualified and experienced staff of engineers who can be readily assigned to projects. The following brief biographies highlight the professional experience of our key personnel.

Girma Haile-Leul, PE

Mr. Girma Haile-Leul, owner and principal of GHL Consultants, has a Master's Degree in Structural Engineering and is a registered Civil and Structural Engineer with over 25 years of professional experience. He has managed and designed various projects including highway bridges, transit structures, roadway and waterfront structures, buildings, and other transport and commercial facilities.

Mr. Haile-Leul's recent projects include the design of a seismic retrofit for the Cedar Grove Bridge for the Department of Public Works of King County, the rehabilitation and repairs of the Diablo Dam Access Road Bridges for Seattle City Light, the new Cruise Terminal Facility at the Bell Street Pier for the Port of Seattle, and Silver Cloud Inn Buildings in Mukilteo and Tacoma Washington. Mr. Haile-Leul also directed the design of the Transit Shed Apron of the Central Waterfront Project at Pier 66 for the Port of Seattle. He also performed design and review of the seismic retrofit for the NE 45th Street and Magnolia Viaducts for the City of Seattle.
